Q:

Can I still use VR if I wear glasses?

A:

Yes, the HTC Vive headset is designed to accommodate glasses. Our attendants will be happy to help you adjust the headset to ensure a comfortable fit.

Q:

I've heard that virtual reality can make some people feel nauseous. Is that true?

A:

Yes, in certain circumstances, some people can feel motion-sick when using a virtual reality headset. Not everyone experiences "simulator sickness", and the causes are still being studied. But it's likely related to conflicts between the visual and bodily senses.

At VRcade, we use powerful computers to run our headsets, which helps prevent simulator sickness due to lag or frame dropping. Some suggestions for avoiding it while playing include: taking frequent breaks, sitting down, keeping your head still, eating ginger candy, and pressing on a specific acpressure point located on the inner arm near the wrist (seriously, there's science that says it works).

Q:

What kind of VR headsets do you have?

A:

We currently have HTC Vive headsets. We are exploring the option of adding Oculus Rift to our collection, stay tuned!
